Commitment
Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to making Taroko Sports usable by everyone.
Last updated: August 26, 2026
1. Our commitment
Taroko US Corporation is committed to making tarokosports.com usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We want every guest to be able to find a location, check our hours, view our menu, and book an event, regardless of how they access the web.
Accessibility is not a one-time project for us. As we add pages and features, we test them, and we fix what we find.
2. Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for making web content more accessible to people with disabilities. WCAG has three levels of conformance: A, AA, and AAA.
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that most of the content meets the standard, but we have not completed a formal third-party audit and some areas may not yet fully conform.
We chose Level AA as our target because it is the level most commonly referenced in United States accessibility law and litigation, and because it covers the requirements that matter most in practice: color contrast, keyboard access, text alternatives, and clear structure.
3. How we test
We assess this website in several ways:
- Automated testing. We run Google Lighthouse accessibility audits on both mobile and desktop configurations. As of the last update to this statement, the site scores 100 out of 100 on both.
- Manual keyboard testing. We navigate the site using only a keyboard to confirm that every interactive element can be reached and operated, that focus is always visible, and that no element traps keyboard focus.
- Contrast measurement. We measure text and background color combinations against the WCAG AA contrast thresholds of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text.
- Responsive testing. We check the site across a range of screen sizes to confirm content remains readable and operable without horizontal scrolling.
Automated tools catch only part of what matters. They typically identify around a third of real accessibility barriers, which is why we combine them with manual review.
4. Accessibility features built into this site
Rather than relying on a single tool, we built accessibility into the site itself:
- Semantic HTML structure with a logical heading order
- Every interactive control is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator
- Text and background colors meet WCAG AA contrast requirements
- Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images
- Accessible names and states on buttons, menus, and expandable sections
- Touch targets sized for comfortable use on mobile devices
- No content that moves, blinks, or auto-advances without user action
- Layouts that reflow without horizontal scrolling down to narrow screen widths
- Respect for the "reduce motion" setting in your operating system
5. UserWay accessibility widget
In addition to the built-in features above, this website uses the UserWay Website Accessibility Widget, a third-party tool that lets visitors adjust how the site is presented to them.
You can open it using the accessibility icon in the bottom-left corner of the screen. It offers options including larger text, increased contrast, highlighted links, adjusted spacing, and a reading guide.
The widget supplements our own accessibility work. It does not replace it, and we do not treat it as the basis for our conformance with WCAG. If the widget were removed tomorrow, the underlying site would still be built to the standard described in Section 2.
UserWay is a third-party service and is governed by its own terms and privacy practices.
6. Known limitations
We want to be straightforward about where gaps remain:
- Third-party content. Several important functions are handled by outside providers: event booking through Tripleseat, online waivers through Intercard, food ordering through Square, and embedded maps through Google. When you use these, you are on their platforms, and we do not control their accessibility. We have selected vendors that publish accessibility commitments, and we will raise issues with them when guests report problems.
- No third-party audit. We have not commissioned an independent accessibility audit. Our assessment is based on our own automated and manual testing.
- Limited assistive technology testing. We have not conducted comprehensive testing across the full range of screen readers, magnifiers, and voice control software.
- Older content. Some material carried over from earlier versions of the site may not yet meet the same standard as newly built pages.
7. Tell us about a problem
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this website, we want to hear about it. Your report helps us fix it and helps the next person.
